MOVANS can show a released result as “Out of Custody.” The service is not the durable source for the exact release authority, transfer destination, or full case outcome. Harrison County’s booking record may show a release timestamp, while the court docket may explain a bond order, sentence, dismissal, or commitment. For a state case, MODOC holds its own custody and supervision record.
Register Harrison County Release Alerts
Registration works best while the person still appears in custody. The MODOC Offender Search covers active offenders, including probationers and parolees. It expressly excludes discharged offenders. A positive active record can mean prison custody or community supervision, depending on the status shown. A negative result cannot prove release because the person may be discharged, withheld from public display, listed under another lawful name, or outside MODOC entirely.
